2025 changed everything for me.
It was the year my aging parents in their mid-80s weren't as independent as they had been all these years. With several different hospital stays, physical therapy rehab center stays, doctor appointments, follow-ups and on and on, I learned quickly that I didn't really have any real knowledge about this next phase of parental caregiving.
It inspired me to create The Boomer Guide for aging adults and caregivers who are making important decisions about money, caregiving, health-related concerns, planning, and family conversations that can feel hard to navigate alone.
I have just experienced the avalanche of questions that the medical and financial professionals are now asking, and there is so much to know. I hope to bring practical, respectful information to the guidance you find here, to help you through these difficult times.
